School Rules

1. Every student must carry his Almanac and Identity Card to school each day.

2. A student should affix his/her photograph and write the required information, duly signed by mother & father, in the space provided for in the almanac.

3. Students who come to school on their own should arrive in an orderly manner and silently.

4. Changing of classrooms between periods should be done in an orderly manner and silently.

5. Students should be habitually clean and always neatly dressed. The school uniform should be worn on all working days and for all school functions. Students who are slovenly dressed or not in uniform will be sent home.

6. All boys (except Sikhs) must keep their hair short. Girls must tie their hair neatly with a blue band.

7. Non-Sikh boys should get their hair cut at regular intervals. Sikh boys must wear turbans or a blue patka.

8. No books (other than textbooks or library books), magazines, or paper should be brought to school.

9. Lending or borrowing of money or other articles is strictly prohibited.

10. Students who come to school escorted should never leave before the escort arrives. In case of delay, they should report to the school office.

11. Parents and guardians may meet the teachers at the specified times.

12. Students are not allowed to use the school telephone without the permission of the principal. They will not be called to answer phone calls during class hours.

13. Students using the school bus will maintain discipline in the bus.

14. The school insists on the following measures to be observed by staff and students. Care must be taken to observe the "Green rules" in order to maintain clean, green surroundings. School premises will not be littered with disposable tumblers, papers, or polythene bags. Minimum use of polythene bags is appreciated.

15. Do not spoil or pluck flowers.

16. Students are expected to respect the property of others. This includes respect for school property. No student should damage any school furniture or write on things belonging to others. Damage done, even by accident, should be reported at once to the class teacher or the principal.

17. R.S.D. Academy students should observe polite standards wherever they go. They should always remember that the school is judged by their conduct. They should greet their teachers when they meet them. Bullying and use of foul language are punishable offenses, including rustication.

18. Students are not allowed to bring any sharp instruments such as knives to school or any object that can cause injury to others.

19. Students are advised to keep their classroom, school building, and campus as clean as possible and throw leftovers into dustbins.

20. The school is not responsible for lost goods. It is not advisable to bring valuable articles (like cash, expensive watches, or fountain pens) to school.

21. Fees can be paid by cheque/draft/cash within the stipulated time at Prathma Bank, Ram Ganga Vihar, Moradabad.

22. No student shall indulge in any of the following practices:

  • Writing anything on the shirt or uniform.
  • Spitting in or near the school building.
  • Smoking.
  • Any form of gambling.
  • Use of drugs or intoxicants, except on prescription by a registered medical practitioner.
  • Rowdyism and rude behavior.
  • Use of violence in any form.
  • Casteism, communalism, or practicing untouchability.
  • Bursting crackers or throwing color on one another or painting faces within the school premises.
  • No student is permitted to bring a mobile phone to school.

23. No student is allowed to visit any kiosks around the school. If found, they will be subjected to regular punishment.

24. Students indulging in aggressive or violent behavior will not be allowed to travel by school bus. They will be picked up and dropped at school by their parents.

25. A vaccination record must be produced at the start of the year if the child is not completely immunized.

26. Students should not unite with others for violent, destructive activities, or they will be punished.

27. Students will not instigate other students to misbehave or participate in anti-school activities that could bring disrepute to the school.

28. Students will not boycott the orders, directions, and instructions given by school authorities.

29. Students will not use any unfair means in examinations.

30. Use of unfair means during any monthly test or examination will result in a zero. They may also be asked to take a transfer certificate or be expelled from the school.

31. A medical certificate must be submitted if a student is absent for any monthly test (FA Exam) or Half-Yearly Exam (SA I Exam) on or before the test/exam date. No medical leave can be availed of in the final exam (SA II Exam) without the prior permission of the Principal.

32. Students will not cooperate with or indulge in violent acts committed by other students.

33. Students will not engage in any act that disrupts school discipline principles.

Withdrawal

1. If a child must be withdrawn from school, parents are requested to give one calendar month's notice in writing, failing which, one month's fee will be charged in lieu thereof.

2. Those who leave the school in May must pay the fee for June in all cases.

3. Transfer certificates for children withdrawn are not issued until all dues are settled.

4. Students can be asked to leave the school on the following grounds:

  • Disciplinary.
  • Unsatisfactory progress in work.
  • Detention or repeated detention in a class.

5. A student who fails twice in the same class will not be permitted to continue his/her studies at the school.

6. If a child has attended school for even a single day and wishes to get a Transfer Certificate, he/she has to pay the fee for six months, and if a T.C. is required on or after 1st Oct. 2014, they will have to pay the fee for the next six months.

Attendance

1. It is compulsory for all students to complete 75% attendance before every examination. In case of short attendance, students will not be eligible for promotion/any academic award.

2. Repeated absence without leave or unexplained absence for more than ten consecutive days renders the student liable to have his/her name struck off the rolls. Re-admission fees will be provided if the vacancy still exists.

3. All children are expected to attend school on the opening day after every vacation and must be present before the vacation closing. Those absent because of sickness must present a medical certificate before joining the class.

4. A child returning to school after suffering from an infectious or contagious disease should produce a certificate before returning to class.

  • Chickenpox - Till complete falling of scabs.
  • Cholera - Till the child is completely well.
  • Measles - Two weeks after the rash disappears.
  • Mumps - Until the swelling has gone.
  • Whooping Cough - Six weeks.
  • Jaundice - Six weeks.
